Just back from Office Max where I purchased a inexpensive video recorder for my son on Black Friday for Christmas . I had found another much nicer unit for less money elsewhere and went to return my purchase and they would only offer a in store credit .I think that is ludicrous during the Holiday season . I will find a way to get rid of this card eventually but this is not a store I will seek out to make any purchases from in the future.

Today (10/13/2009) I returned a pair of shorts $9.99 for which I had lost the receipt. The cashier told me they had since been put on sale at $6.99, meaning I automatically lost $3.00! Then she asked for my driver's lic. Why? Ross already had my money!! If I go back tomorrow and the shorts are for sale at $9.99, I know Ross is running a consumer scam!!!

I agree with Prajna. If you ask me, clothes are not worth that much trouble, and it was really hard to read your statement. Please never post your address on any sort of comment board or anywhere online in general, it is not smart and will have repercussions.

well this doesn't take a genius to figure out why they do this; because they have to wait until your check clears the bank before they give your funds back to you. this prevents people from writing bad checks or checks on closed accounts, and then returning a product to get cash. All you have to do is wait until your check has cleared and return for your refund in 10 days, duh!

1. That must have been an outstanding two-peice wardrobe you found there if you were willing to go through all that trouble.
2. Your grammar is horrible. Consider reading more books.
3. Should Ross have made an exception for you because you have cancer?
4. Do you realize that you provided your home address?

Ross' return policy is such a scam.
I love their clothes and good prices, but after having a long ordeal with them, trying to return a dress, I will never be a customer for them again. They should take care of the customers AFTER putting money in their hands as well.

Dillards return policy sucks. Dillards says you have to wait 10 days to bring back merchandise if you write a check! Who does that? So does that give you anextra 10 days on their 30-day return policy? Come on Dillards! Look at your customer service! Your losing people!!
