This was contrary to their return policy on the back of my receipt I had to haggle for 15 minutes to get my money back.
Your options.
1.Haggle
2.Eat the cost of what you bought.
3.Send it back to the manufacturer for more that it cost.
4.Dont shop at Lowes anymore.

Comment on Brookstone: In-Store and On-line Purchase Return Policy

Brookstone's return policy is fraudulent. I was told by the customer service team leader "Agnes", x6816, that as the company policy, they do not allow refund of merchandise with a gift receipt even though it is stated that you can return the merchandise "with receipt", only exchanges and gift cards are allowed. I'm sure a class-action law suit is coming on that one.

Comment on Ross Stores: In-store Return Policy

WELL I HAVE READ WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE EXPERIENCE AND NOW I GOING TO RETURN A TOTAL OF FIVE(5) ITEMS 3 ARE ALL ON ONE RECEIPT BUT IT HAS BEEN PAST 30 DAYS, 2 STILL THE ORIGINAL PACKAGE WITH PRICE STILL AFFIXED BUT WE CHANGED OUR MIND ON THE COLOR SCHEME AND I CAN'T LOCATE THE RECEIPT SO WE WILL SEE HOW THEY TREAT THEM TWO ITEMS WITH THEIR RETURN POLICY.. I had even purchased a Best Buy warranty. It took me calling Sprint Corp offices to get my cell phone replaced and I did make sure to report Best Buy

Comment on Target Stores: In-Store and Internet Return Policy.

I tried to return a purchase with receipt but it was over 90 days. I understand your policy, but was told since the item was for $70, I could not even get a store credit. In other words there was nothing that could be done with my purchase even though I has my receipt. However, I was told that if the purchase had been for less than $35, I could have received a store credit. The item was still in the store at full price. If this is in fact true, this is crazy to have such a policy for a national chain. Please respond and tell me this is not true. On your website for returns---this is not stated. Thank-you

Comment on Ross Stores: In-store Return Policy

Their return policy sucks. I tried to make a return I made with a credit card. Instead of crediting my card back, they gave me a store credit. I asked why and they told me I had to return the item WITHIN 30 days. I was returning the item ON the 30th DAY! Their policy above says "within 30 days" then goes on to say "returns with a receipt OLDER than 30 days will be exchanged or credited." I didn't come on the 31st day, I came on the 30th day. They said their computer is set up to recognize giving a store credit based on the return policy. The computer is WRONG then.

Comment on Best Buy Stores: In-Store Return Policy.

I have never purchased from Best Buy, and after the mass-forwarded email I received, and reading this page describing their return policies-restock fees, I am sure I never will.

Comment on Best Buy Stores: In-Store Return Policy.

I bought a computer from Best Buy and had some problems with them to repair it.In 1 day I went back to that store 5 times, they said it's ready & when I get there it wasn't That Geek Squad is a big joke. Now that this has been pointed out, I will never again be a customer to your retail stores. Moreover, I will also not be a customer of your online website as well. There has to be consumer laws per state, that says differently.

Comment on Best Buy Stores: In-Store Return Policy.

I don't understand what happen to fair business practices. We as consumers can no longer buy items and check them out, if they are not what we were lead to believe or we just plain don't want them we cannot return them without having to pay for the priviledge. With times being what they are this is really sad for America. Best Buys you can keep your Made from a Different Country items and keep trying to screw consumers with all your fees and some day your business will no longer exist. Your Corporate Headquarters must not be 100% o.k. with the return policy or why not have it posted on the doors and in the advertising instead of on the back on reciept when the consumer doesn"t get this to read untill after the item is purchased.
