Old Navy Store Return Policy
Old Navy’s Return Policy: Return your merchandise within 45 days from your purchase date in an unwashed, unworn (tags attached) condition, to receive a merchandise exchange or a full refund in the original form of payment.
We hope you love what you ordered. But in case you don’t—perhaps it’s a little too big or the style just isn’t you—we’ll send you a new size, color, or style, or issue you a quick refund. Returns and exchanges are free when you use our prepaid return shipping label.
You have up to 45 days to return items purchased at Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic, items purchased from Athleta may be returned at any time.

Steps Returning and item
- Pack the return
- Address the package
- Ship it
The returned merchandise as soon as we receive the delivery, and send you an email to confirm that the return has been completed. Refunds are in the form of original payment, such as the credit card used for the order. If the refund is applied to your credit card, your credit card company may take up to 10 additional business days to post the refund to your account.
You can also return items purchased at different times. Mark up the invoice for each item and place the invoices and items in a single box. Affix a shipping label from any of the brands represented in the return.

For an exchange: To exchange one or both of the items in the example above, just call the appropriate brand’s order line (at the top of the invoice) before you ship the return. This ensures you the best selection for your replacement and allows you to get credit for any discounts used. For more details on doing an exchange, see “To exchange items by mail,” above.
Do one of the following:
- To ship via UPS, print out a prepaid UPS return shipping label.
- To ship via the U.S. Postal Service, print out a prepaid USPS return shipping label.

Be sure to include your invoice, with information about your returned item as described in the topics above. It’s also a good idea to write down your delivery tracking number for future reference.
Holiday Exchange Policy
Items purchased online or in stores between Nov 1st and Dec 24th may be returned by Jan 15th, or 45 days after purchase, whichever is later. For those online items returned by mail, these must be received at our facility by Jan 15th, or 45 days after purchase, whichever is later. Please allow 5-7 days for return mail. Proof of purchase is required.
